We decided to bat first against The wanderers on a wicket that looked a bit on the green side. We lost Xolani Ngumbela well caught behind but Josh Lang was joined  by Matt Thornhill (24)  and they put on 49 but the with the score under100 after 30 overs we needed to push on for a competitive total. With wickets falling and then Lang going for 50 we were 105/5 and when Keegan van Rensburg fell in the 32nd over we were in trouble. Conah MacFarlane with an excellent 59 turned the game around and with Evan Lynch (28) they put on 64 and we finally reached 219 all out.

We had to bowl six overs before lunch and Ethan Hughes gave us a dream start with a wicket with his first ball. After lunch Gaurav Sirohi got three quick wickets before he finished with 5/23 and with MacFarlane and Arnold Ndindwa each taking two we bowled Wanderers out for 100 and managed to get a very good win under our belts.
