Our Premier league team were looking to redress the loss to Kagiso in the first round of fixtures when they chased down 270. They started well this time dismissing both our openers inside the first 10 overs. Mike Newland-Nell (85) and David Sartor (61) steadied the ship with a 144 partnership and then Luke Woolway (33*) saved the innings in a fantastic knock to help post a competitive 240 in the 50 overs but we were mindful of their run chase last time. We had the upper hand with the ball and Kagiso were soon 37/4 with Damien Hutchinson (3/40) and Scott Conway (3/23) superb. Play was halted due to the rain but they were well behind the run rate on 67/4 off 20 overs. When we returned our bowling and fielding held firm and they were all out for 146 and another bonus point.
